Job Description
We are currently looking for a General Manager position with one of the group of companies in retailing and variety store-chain business. The position is to be stationed in Yangon, Myanmar and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities
• Reviewing the performance of each respective department
• Coordinating the interdepartmental work and projects
• Ensuring the quality of work andthe completion of work on time
• Working on business development, i.e. franchising, new projects, etc
• Cultivating a sense of responsibility among all staff and propagating the company’s culture
• Visit all stores and help the operations team meet store requirements
• Monitoring monthly and yearly sales targets and all shops stock
• Guiding and assisting to Operations team to handle stock loss
• Perform other functions related to GM or as may be requested by the CEO or BOD
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder
• Preferably studied Business, Economics or Marketing
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience
• Substantial Management experience in retail business or similar
• Must have sound knowledge of geographic, demographic, and consumer behaviors
• Professional working proficiency in Myanmar and English is a must
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Email
